"They are a modern day Sly and the Family Stone" raves the Cleveland
Plain Dealer. Soulful vocals backed by an arsenal of immensely
talented musicians, Skinny is currently supporting their new album Grass on
their latest national tour.
Skinny launched the tour out of their hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, with
a style of music that truly rips down stereotypes and crosses the lines
of race, gender, and age.
Along their travels, Skinny has landed performances with Dave Matthews
Band, Blessid Union Of Souls, The Roots, O.A.R, George Clinton and the
PFunk Allstars, Ari Hest, Average White Band, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Rusted
Root, Robert Randolph, Matt Nathanson, the Spin Doctors, and Galactic.
Shortly after forging the band at Kent State University, Skinny was
ranked the #1 unsigned band by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Over
the seven years the band has been together, one common idea has kept
them moving in the same direction: love. The band calls itself
the "family,” and paints its music with words of brotherhood and
wellbeing.
Skinny is truly music for the mind, body, and anyone with a soul.
